Teaching Assistant Year 4 (Scale 5 TA)

I have worked at Grinling Gibbons for many years and have formed some great relationships with past and present pupils, staff and parents. I am a fun character and I think the qualities that I bring to GG brighten and uplift the school daily. There is never a dull moment when I am around.

I have a variety of experiences and skill sets that enhance, develop and encourage the children daily which I believe is extremely important in the development of children in reaching their full potential. My goal is to encourage children to be leaders and winners, and I reinforce this within children to give them a positive self-image and self-esteem; this in turn contributes to the whole school ethos.

Additional Responsibilities

I have been working at Grinling Gibbons Primary School since 2012 and have loved every minute of it. I enjoy leading Modern Foreign Languages and Design and Technology as this allows me to become more involved with all children’s learning within the school.

Nothing beats ‘hands on’ experience when working with children. The more you work with children, the more you can appreciate their individuality – and this is something that continues to develop year after year. There is never a dull moment in the classroom, as each child’s personality shines through whatever they are learning.

I love working with children which is what inspired me to become a teacher, and I especially love how proud I become of each class at the end of the year, knowing how much they have developed and matured, and that I have contributed to their growth.
