Laraine Staples
Teaching Assistant Year 1

I have worked as a Teaching Assistant at Grinling Gibbons since 2010, but previously I was a volunteer here. I have been the Reception Teaching Assistant for six years and enjoy watching the children grow in confidence and mature throughout their educational journey. I am proud to be a member of staff at a great school, working with a great teaching team who have the children’s best interests at heart.

Carleen Archer
Year 1 Teacher

Additional Responsibilities

My name is Carleen Archer and I have been teaching at Grinling Gibbons since 2003. When I first started here, I taught in lower Key Stage 2, but for the past 9 years I have been teaching in Key Stage 1.

I am presently Key Stage 1 Lead and the Year 2 class teacher. My additional responsibilities include the monitoring of the progress of Phonics, as well as Pupil Premium children across the school.

As the longest standing member of the teaching staff, I am immensely proud of the achievements of past and present students of the school.
