Welcome Back !

Happy New Year! We hope you have all had a fantastic winter break and had lots of fun if you took part in any celebrations over the winter period. We are excited to welcome some new children to the setting and cannot wait to get stuck into lots of learning this term. We run an open door policy so please do no hesitate to come and speak to us if you have any questions.

What we will be learning this term

This term our topics are ‘Traditional tales’ and ‘Growing’. We will be starting the term by focusing on some of the children’s’ favourite tales, such as ‘The 3 Little Pigs’ and ‘Goldilocks and The Three Bears’! We will be able to explore different versions of the stories as well as act out our own versions and even make the pigs’ houses. Following on from this, we will look at ‘The Gingerbread Man’ and ‘The Little Red Hen’. During this time we will be able to make and try our own gingerbread creations as well as explore the story settings through our roleplay.

I have worked at Grinling Gibbons as the Nursery Class Teacher since 2016.

I am proud to work here because it is such a wonderful school where all the staff and children look out for each other. As well as fantastic teachers who are dedicated to each and every child, we have children who are really lovely and value their experiences at school, which makes working here a real pleasure.

Working in the early years, I have a commitment to making sure that every child gets off to the right start in school. I strive to create an inclusive class environment which will stimulate and engage all our children, and I encourage and support them to progress and develop as learners.

I love being part of such a wonderful school community, and it is a genuine pleasure to work here and teach our pupils as they are all such lovely children and enthusiastic learners.
