We are excited to welcome some of our children back for the new term, as well and welcoming our new children to the nursery. We run an open door policy so please do not hesitate to come and speak to us if you have any questions.

What we will be learning this term

This term our topics are ‘Getting to know each other’ and ‘People who help us’. We will be reading stories such as ‘Owl Babies’, ‘The Jolly Postman’ and ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’. We will be reading these stories with the children and completing creative activities such as making puppets for retelling the stories, making story props and making resources to support other areas of learning.

Nursery Teacher

I have worked at Grinling Gibbons as the Nursery Class Teacher since 2016.

I am proud to work here because it is such a wonderful school where all the staff and children look out for each other. As well as fantastic teachers who are dedicated to each and every child, we have children who are really lovely and value their experiences at school, which makes working here a real pleasure.

Working in the early years, I have a commitment to making sure that every child gets off to the right start in school. I strive to create an inclusive class environment which will stimulate and engage all our children, and I encourage and support them to progress and develop as learners.

Teaching Assistant Nursery

I have worked at Grinling Gibbons since January 2016, in the nursery and reception. It is such a fantastic place to work, as the pupils and staff make it such a special place. I love being part of such a wonderful school community, and it is a genuine pleasure to work here and teach our pupils as they are all such lovely children and enthusiastic learners.
