At Grinling Gibbons, Design and Technology provides the perfect opportunity for children to combine their problem-solving skills and their creativity, to develop initial design ideas into real-life objects and products.

Children are encouraged to use their imagination to create and develop new ideas by exploring the following core design processes:

  • Design
  • Make
  • Evaluate
  • Use of technical knowledge

Children are taught a range of skills, including the safe use of appropriate tools, which they can then apply across a range of design contexts.
