Security
The school also operates a CCTV system which covers the majority of the outside areas, as well as some internal areas. The CCTV is relayed to the main office. Footage is only ever accessed following data protection laws. For more information please see our Data Protection Policy.
The school is also equipped with an extensive intruder alarm system as well as panic buttons in strategic locations, which are linked directly to the local police.
Another method of securing the school is our digital entry system. All staff and visitors are issued with a pass, printed with their photograph and details, as well as an outline of our safeguarding information. Wearing passes printed with photographs is a very effective way to identify anyone who is not an authorised visitor, and staff will challenge anyone they believe has not been permitted entry to the school.
We also operate an access control card system. All the external doors on the ground floor of the buildings are kept locked and are only accessible with the correct access level card, meaning that any unauthorised visitor could not get into the buildings.
