Our School Day

Year 1-6

The school day begins at 8:20am when the doors open for children. Parents say goodbye to their children at the gate and children enter the school via the main entrance where staff are there to greet them and make sure they are safely in the building. Children go straight to their classrooms to start their learning.

Your child must be at school on time. Learning is negatively affected by continual lateness; however, if your child arrives after 8:35am they have arrived late. They will need to be marked in by the Admin team.

Learning ends at 2.30pm and children pack up and collect their coats and bags at this time. Parents may collect their children from the teachers in the playground at 2.40pm

Parents who are not on time to collect their children at the end of the day will be subject to a £5 late fee for each additional block of 15 minutes that they are late. 

If anyone other than the parent is collecting your child you must inform the school office otherwise your child will not be permitted to go.

Procedures for Nursery and Reception

In Nursery, children are dropped off by the Nursery entrance to a member of the Nursery team at the start of each session. They are then collected at the same point by their parents and carers at the end the relevant sessions.

Nursery

8.15am – 11.15am morning session

11.45am – 2.45pm afternoon session

Reception

The school day begins at 8.20am when the gate by the Reception classroom opens for children. Parents say goodbye to their children at the gate and children enter classroom where staff are there to greet them.

Parents may collect their children at the gate at 2.40 pm. If parents are late in collecting their children the same late collection procedures applies as stated above.

The rest of the day – Reception to Year 6

Reception 11.45am – 1.00pm

Year 1 11.55am – 1.00pm

Year 2 12.00pm – 1.00pm

Year 3 12.05pm – 1.00pm

Years 4, 5, and 6 12.15pm – 1.00pm
